Vaccination
We cannot stress enough the importance of vaccination – it can prevent a great deal of unnecessary suffering.
Every pet receives a health check at the time of vaccination.
Puppies
usually at 8 to 10 weeks of age
Kittens
at 9 and 12 weeks of age
Rabbits
at 12 weeks of age
Dogs
The canine vaccinations we use protect your dog against:
- Distemper
- Parvovirus
- Hepatitis
- Two forms of Leptospirosis
- One strain of Kennel Cough
Cats
The feline vaccinations we use protect against Feline Infectious Enteritis, Cat Flu (Viral Rhinotracheitis and Calici Virus) and the Feline Leukaemia Virus.
The Leukaemia virus can cause a severe, usually fatal illness in cats. The virus spreads quite easily, so we strongly recommend vaccination against it.
Boosters matter. Immunity following the first vaccination does not last for life. Regular booster vaccinations are vital.
